Unconscious Competence Vs Conscious Competence ~ The Jewel of the Coaching Process

What's the difference between someone who does something skillful,

Who doesn't know what that skill is.....

.....and someone who does something skillful....

Who knows they are using that skill?

The answer?

The person who is consciously competent has CHOICE.

They can choose to use that skill.

Their range of possibility is hugely greater than someone who is unconsciously competent.

Which, by the way, Socrates was all about that.

The Grandfather of our Western civilisation and thought, simply raised people's awareness 

...of what they already knew, but couldn't access it consciously.
