The Chinese say we all wear masks.

There's a Chinese tale that talks about how we wear a mask for everyone in our life.

There's the mask we wear for an employer,

...the mask we don for a customer.

The mask we show our friends,

The mask we show our parents,

The mask we show our intimate partner,

The mask we show to our children...

...and lastly, when we are left alone,

...there's a mask we wear for ourselves.

"The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask." Jim Morrison
